At this point, you are invited to simply say the concluding prayers here at Mountain View Cemetery. You can also head to your home or to wherever God takes you today before you say these prayers.
A Prayer for the End of the Journey
Let us pray. (Keep silence for a few moments to reflect on your own journey on this pilgrimage)
We give you thanks, O God of Life, for the gift of this journey. May it be a reminder to us that your Son came and lived and died as one of us so that we might be raised to new life in his resurrection. We ask you to bless all who are close to us and to bless all the people who live in our communities. We pray for the poor, the hungry, and the voiceless, and we pray for those who care for them. Help us to follow more closely the example of your Son, and give us the strength to help build his Kingdom here today. In his most Holy Name we pray. Amen.
V. Savior of the world, by your cross and precious blood you have redeemed us:
R. Save us, and help us, we humbly beseech you, O Lord.
We thank you, heavenly Father, that you have delivered us from the dominion of sin and death and brought us into the kingdom of your Son; and we pray that, as by his death he has recalled us to life, so by his love he may raise us to eternal joys; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
To Christ our Lord who loves us, and washed us in his own blood, and made us a kingdom of priests to serve his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Thank you for taking this Pilgrimage of the Cross. We hope that you have found God here on this journey.
We would be delighted if you would send us a message to let us know about your experience.
