For hundreds of years, pilgrims in Jerusalem have walked the journey of Jesus last day. Struck by the power of this devotion, pilgrims brought this practice back to their own churches as the Way of the Cross. At each of the fourteen stations, pilgrims were reminded of Jesus' humanity and frailty. They walked in his footsteps to remind themselves that Jesus lived as one of us, died as one of us, and was raised to new life so that we would share in his resurrection.

This Pilgrimage of the Cross is a new interpretation of this ancient practice. Instead of stations in one individual church, we have found fourteen places around Lenox and Pittsfield that remind us those fourteen last moments in Jesus' earthly ministry. The prayers and meditations that follow are intended to help us that our own communities are not so different from Jerusalem. Jesus' story is part of our own stories.

This website will guide you from place to place, giving locations and driving directions to the next station. There is no right or wrong way to do this. You can do some stations one day and more on another. You can stay in your car or you can get out and walk around. You can do this alone or with others. We hope that this devotion can help you find God today.
